The institution formerly known as "JCAHO" has changed their name yet again.  No, it is not that same symbol you see cabbies gesturing downtown.  They call themselves "The Joint Commission", or TJC.  Perhaps, they are looking to consume enter other industries.

But for now, they remain the accreditation body for health care organizations. And this remains the site for JCAHO-related humor.  We (the folks at GiggleMed.com) poke fun at TJC, not out of disdain or dislike, but more so out of amusement at (1) the stress surrounding TJC surveys, (2) the amount of energy, effort, FTEs, and money dedicated to responding to TJC decrees, and (3) the deceptive dance that health care organizations perform before, during, and after Joint Commission visits.
